Picture jasper squares feel like a landscape the earth tucked away for you. Cream, gray, tan, and deep brown wander across the stone in bands and markings, like distant hills, desert paths, and places you almost remember. Look a little longer and another scene appears... the earth has a pretty wonderful imagination.
Each 2-inch square holds its own little world. Some patterns feel soft and quiet, others draw bold lines across the surface, and that is part of the fun of picture jasper: everyone sees something different. A mountain ridge, a sandy shoreline, a map to somewhere you would happily get lost.
Keep yours beside a journal, nestle it into an altar or crystal display, or give it to the friend who always comes home with a stone in their pocket. Its earthy colors bring a lovely bit of the outdoors to the spaces where you pause, daydream, and come back to yourself.
