Some cats belong to the night. This one seems to have brought a little of it home.
You know that hour when the house finally goes quiet, the tea has gone cold and you are still awake with a book you said you would put down three chapters ago. A small black cat keeps you company, silver moving through its coat whenever the light finds it. Looking as though it knows exactly how the story ends. Naturally, it refuses to tell you.
There is something familiar about that little face... the cat at the edge of a half-remembered dream, the shadow that stayed when the moon moved on. A quiet creature for the corner where you keep your favorite odd things, the feathers and stones and treasures that followed you home.
Give it a place of its own. It was going to claim one anyway.
One silver sheen obsidian cat carving, approximately 5 cm (about 2 inches). The natural silver sheen appears differently with the light and viewing angle.
